Family Counseling

Service Description

The initial family counseling session is FREE. During an initial family counseling session, families can expect to work with me in addressing a range of issues that can arise within family dynamics. I will work to create a safe and supportive environment in which all family members feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. I will ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of the family's history and dynamics, as well as any specific concerns or issues that family members would like to address. I will explore topics such as communication challenges, conflict resolution strategies, parenting styles, and individual family member needs and goals. In addition, I will provide information about my approach to counseling and what clients can expect from future sessions. I will also discuss any relevant ethical or confidentiality issues, and answer any questions the family may have. Ultimately, the goal of the initial counseling session is to establish a foundation for ongoing work and to begin developing a plan for addressing the family's concerns. While it may feel challenging to open up to a new therapist about family issues, you can expect to feel supported and validated throughout the process as I work collaboratively with all family members to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their unique needs and goals.
